This delightful highly collectable enamel box, manufactured by Halcyon Days for Gump's. The lid is decorated with an array of cats and dogs, and bordered with the line "Dogs come when they are called: cats take a message and get back to you".
The sides and base are an undecorated red colour. To the underside of the lid is a monochrome image of a bone & fish skeleton.
The box measures a little over 2"(5.25cms) wide, a little over 1 1/2"(a little under 4cms) deep & 1"(2.5cms) tall. It is fully back- stamped and in great condition, being free from any damage or wear.
